About Royal Castle
Royal Castle Miami is a beloved fast-food restaurant with a rich history in serving classic American cuisine. Known for their iconic burgers, fries, and milkshakes, Royal Castle has been a staple in Miami’s food scene for decades. As they evolved, the need for a modern, functional, and user-friendly website became essential to streamline their customer ordering process and continue to offer exceptional service. The goal was to blend their historical legacy with modern-day technology, making it easier for customers to engage with their brand, both online and in-store.
Design & Features
SEO-Optimized Website
We designed a visually appealing and functional website that not only tells the rich story and history of Royal Castle but also highlights their current offerings in a way that improves their visibility online. By focusing on SEO best practices—such as optimizing content, metadata, and images—we helped boost their search engine rankings, making it easier for new and existing customers to find them online.
Online Ordering System
We developed a robust online ordering system using WooCommerce, optimized specifically for restaurant ordering. This system was customized to handle the complexities of restaurant operations, such as managing multiple product modifiers and item customizations. The integration was manually linked with Clover, allowing for real-time updates of menu items and modifiers. Additionally, we connected the system with DoorDash for delivery options, Stripe for secure payments, and a custom Kitchen Display System (KDS) for seamless order management.
Pickup Verification System
To enhance the customer experience for order pickups, we implemented a custom verification system. This system enables staff to verify orders before handing them over to customers, ensuring accuracy. It also includes a signature capture feature, allowing staff to confirm that the order has been picked up by the correct person. This verification process adds an extra layer of security and professionalism to Royal Castle’s pickup service.
Kitchen Display System (KDS)
The Kitchen Display System (KDS) we developed was tailored to streamline kitchen operations. Orders are displayed clearly, allowing kitchen staff to easily recognize, prepare, and package items. The KDS is fully integrated with the pickup verification system, ensuring that the kitchen and front-of-house staff can efficiently manage order statuses, from preparation to pickup. The system also works with PrintNode for automated printing of order tickets, helping kitchen staff stay organized and efficient.
About Royal Castle

- WooCommerce for Online Ordering: WooCommerce was customized to handle complex restaurant orders, including modifiers and special requests. Integration with Clover ensures that the menu stays up-to-date and accurately reflects available items.
- Clover Integration: A manual integration was carried out to sync menu items and modifiers between Clover and the WooCommerce system, ensuring real-time updates on the website.
- DoorDash & Stripe Integrations: We integrated DoorDash for delivery, allowing customers to have their orders delivered directly from the site. Payments are securely processed using Stripe, giving customers confidence in the safety of their online transactions.
- Custom KDS & PrintNode Integration: The KDS was developed to streamline kitchen operations, improving order tracking and preparation efficiency. PrintNode integration automates the printing of order tickets, further improving workflow.
- Pickup Verification System: This system not only allows for easy verification of orders but also incorporates a signature capture feature for added security and accountability.
